New central low-floor sections for 15 trams in Sarajevo/Bosnia-Herzegovina

In 2004 we received a commission from Sarajevo to refurbish fifteen Tatra K2 fleet vehicles and add a low-floor entrance area.

For this the number of axles had to be increased from six to eight to incorporate a new low-floor center section.

HeiterBlick was fully in charge of converting the first tram known as SATRA3 and then supervised the upgrades of the other vehicles performed by City of Sarajevo engineers.

Under this project HeiterBlick provided the electrical engineering, manufactured all assemblies, supplied drive, brake and electrical components and performed the cabling for the prototype.
