Loading of the first TW3000

Today saw the ceremonial loading of the first of 50 type TW3000 light rail vehicles for üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe AG on the HeiterBlick site. Having been completed on time, the vehicle is to be transported to Hanover overnight, after which dynamic commissioning commences. HeiterBlick, in its capacity as partner to Vossloh Kiepe, supplies the fully fitted-out railcar bodies for the project and undertakes final assembly of the vehicles at the Leipzig site. Today üstra also announced in Leipzig that it is ordering a further 50 vehicles from the manufacturing consortium Vossloh Kiepe and Alstom Transport Deutschland. HeiterBlick will therefore assemble a total of 100 light rail vehicles for Hanover. In addition, üstra has an option for a further 46 vehicles.
