Naming ceremony and maiden trip: Vamos HF began regular operation in Bielefeld/Germany on Dec. 20, 2011

Today Bielefeld's new light rail vehicles went into service on line 4, exactly 111 years after the first tram started operating there on Dec. 20, 1900. One day earlier, the train unit had been ceremoniously named "Stadt Bielefeld" and gone on its maiden trip. The city now has four units type Vamos HF from HeiterBlick, with 12 more to be delivered in 2012. Thanks to an intelligent space concept, the Vamos HF can seat 50% more passengers than its predecessors.
