HeiterBlick, a partner in the same consortium as Vossloh Kiepe and Alstom Transport Deutschland , has just hosted an event to mark the start of production on the TW3000 urban light rail vehicle in Leipzig. HeiterBlick is developing and manufacturing the shell, fully equipping the coach body, and conducting in-depth component testing before handing over the vehicle to üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe AG in Hanover. With its new logistics hall and upgraded manufacturing facilities, HeiterBlick has worked consistently towards the implementation of an integrated production concept. The highest quality standards are met through on-time material flow, ergonomically optimised assembly stands, and continuous quality control. The new urban rail vehicles are 25 m long, 2.65 m wide, and can accommodate up to 167 passengers.
